The FILTH MONSTERS are a brand spanking new DJ supergroup consisting of Lukey T, Jack Maynard and me.
We will be rolling out around Brighton to play pretty much anywhere, and for the first couple of months we will be playing for absolutely 100% free. Expect electro, dubstep, alternative dance and and party anthems.

Tune of the Summer?!

Porter Robinson (aged only 18!) is not a name I knew much about when I stumbled across this track on Beatport. The moment I heard it though, it became an instant Tune of theWeek.
Its hard filthy electro, with a gorgeous breakdown which sounds like some epic trance anthem, and a drop which is borderline dubstep with its wobbly bass.
This may well be my tune of the whole summer. Expect to hear it alot if you come see me DJ!

South West Four!

SW4 is fast approaching, so I have been taking a look at the top tunes to get you in the mood for this super festival.

1. Duck Sauce - Barbara Streisand
If there is one song I guarantee Armand Van Helden will drop at SW4 its this. Big tune of the summer, and theres plenty of awesome remixes too!

2. Fatboy Slim - Right Here Right Now (Trumpdisco Remix)
If you like your fat boy with a bit of an electro tang to it this is for you. Yes yes, I know all us electro heads will be at Boys Noize and will likely miss the FBS DJ set, but you can atleast listen to a fine bit of work on the way there.

3. Fenech Soler - Lies (Herves Solar Flare Remix)
High quality remix from Herve of one of my new favourite bands. I cant guarantee Herve will drop this but I can guarantee it's awesome.

4. Boys Noize - Transmission (Chewy Chocolate Cookies Remix)
I love the Chewy Chocolate Cookies. They seem to be well on top of their game with every remix they make. Boys Noize is looking to be the highlight of my SW4 festival experience, and if your as much an electro head as me you will be elbowing past me to get to the front for his set on Sunday night.

5. The Bloody Beetroots feat. Steve Aoki - Warp
My god if Steve doesnt drop atleast one variant on this mega track I will get up on stage and play it for him. Warp is one of my favourite tunes, and has found its way into my DJ sets time and time again. That clock ticking sound which starts the track sends shivers of excitement down all hardcore electro fans... One, Two, WOOP WOOP!

Well, another week, another Electro super track makes it to your ears. This one comes straight from the August BIG 5 and will land in your brain, fry it with high voltage noise and leave you spasming in its wake.

The Toxic Avenger makes it to Tune of the Week for the 2nd time, the first being #2 back in late december. This time its a remix from HAEZER which turns this track from good to ear bleeding brilliance.

Here is something new I am adding to the news feed. Every month I will be giving you 5 tracks I am salivating over and are becoming dancefloor dynamite.

1. Gtronic - Sucker Punch (Belzebass Remix)

Its electro at its finest. Dirty gritty, and packed with noise!
Belzebass have plenty of other remixes to their name so it is worth checking out their myspace.

Gtronic is Belgian, and specialises in trash electro. Together Belzebass and Gtronic have got an absolute stormer of a tune, and this may well make it as Tune of the Week as well.

2. The Toxic Avenger feat. Orelsan - N'Importe Comment (HAEZER remix)

Cast your minds back to late December, and you probably wont remember that was when I uploaded Tune of the Week 2, which happened to be a cover of Blurs Song 2 by Trash Yourself and The Toxic Avenger.
So it is with great pleasure I bring you another piece of T.As masterclass trash electro brilliance.

The Toxic Avenger has grown in popularity thanks to the internet, pushing his music out via podcasts, and social networking sites. He is one of the biggest electro artists doing the rounds on the music blogs, and definitely one to look out for.

HAEZER is an electro DJ that combines elements of punk, breakbeat, industrial music and glitch-ridden Electroclash, the combination on this track is pure trash electro noise, and it is absolutely brilliant.

3. S-File - Midnight Traffic (Analyzer Remix)

I cant find alot of information on S-File or Analyzer, but I do know this is a brilliant tune to drop if you want a big big build up followed by a sick drop. What I did find out was that S-File is from Germany, and has more than a passing resemblance to droopy in the photo above.
This is a great tune to start your DJ set with, or a nice pace changer if youve been mixing some 160 bpm dubstep or dnb and want to go back to dirty electro.

4. Tiga - What You Need (SKITSNYGG Remix)

SKITSNYGG, from Brooklyn, created this remix for the 2010 Lollapalooza remix throwdown. It's electro brilliance and at time of writing can still be downloaded from soundcloud, which is a bonus.
The original is another fine piece of work by someone we should all be well aware of by now, as Tiga has plenty of top tunes under his belt already.

5. Bart B More - Brap

Bart B More has created something big here, and Boys Noize is among the many who are using this as essential dancefloor gold. If you want to fill a dancefloor with electro loving masses, drop this, turn up the noise and watch the carnage.

So this week I had to decide between this and a remix of that Yolanda and DCUP Americano song.
I am sure you will all be proud I went for the filthy electro beast which is Numb Skull.

There is little I know about Island9 (pictured above) but they have one of those myspace profiles that only musicians appear to be hanging on to these days, so if you fancy looking into the makers of this electro monster then head to myspace.com/island9 and check them out! I must add that there is bugger all info on them on there, just some promising knowledge that an album will be out soon!

In other news, if you live near Guildford look out for a new trance night coming soon, and I shall be providing visuals. Will be in October mind so you will have to keep eyes peeled for when that all goes down. More info on here soon.

We all miss the weekly Tune of the Week, but you will have to wait another day seeing as Ive just got back from a holiday and Im now listening to all the hopeful tracks, fighting for this weeks special praise. There is also plenty of pictures of sunrise, rubber ducks and insects which will all make an appearance on flickr and the images page on this site.
All in all a good holiday.
Now for the exciting news that the London South West Four festival is just around the corner, so I get to see one of my favourite DJ's Boys Noize playing as well as too many other awesome acts. Look out for a special Tune of the Week just before the festival!

So what happens when you mix Dada Life - Cookies with a smile, with Justice vs Simian - We are your friends?
This meaty electro piece of hot stuff done by RoM1RoM, is the love child. With a bit of porn sampled in the audio for this it might be best if you dont play this too loud infront of your boss/teacher/mum unless they happen to be awesome electro heads.

It was a close call between this and that almighty MSRKRFT remix of the A-Team theme for this weeks tune of the week... but this just clinched it for me.

Well. England are not looking promising, so we can all take our focus away from the disappointment and put our raving hats on.
This week is a bit more of a pop based ensemble... no more so than some previous entries I guess, but I find the original amusing and hunted around for an electro remix.

Yes yes its that comical Professor Green, who surely is taking the piss with his rather amusing lyrics on this one. Although I thought that of Mike Skinner and it turned out he was pretty serious with The Streets.
Anyways, its another electro tune to add to your collection.
Next week will probably have something taken from Earmilk or Feral Party Kids so until then you can deal with this.

Back to Electro for you all. The drop in this is awesome. Lukey T gave me the heads up on this one and it has been doing the rounds in blog land alot.
